In today’s slew of announcements from Nikon, they have also launched a replacement for the popular 18-200 VR DX lens.

Although the optical formula remains unchanged from the original, this new version adds a zoom lock switch to help prevent “zoom creep” – a common complain from users of the original.  The lens also gains a new lens coating to minimize ghosting and flare.
