Want a 24-70mm f/2.8, but with VR? Tamron now have one.

Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G

Nikon have announced a new 85mm lens, the medium telephoto AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G.

The new optic replaces the older screw-drive AF-D 85mm f/1.8, bringing Nikon’s f/1.8 range up to date with Silent Wave Motor focusing technology.

Weight is around 350g, making it much lighter than the f/1.4 version, and the lens will perform with full autofocus [...]

Samyang announces 24mm f/1.4 lens for Nikon

Samyang – the little-known but expanding South Korean lens maker – has announced a new 24mm f/1.4 optic that will be available in Nikon mount (plus Canon, Pentax, Samsung NX, Sony Alpha and Four Thirds versions).

Nikkor AF-S 35mm f/1.4G and 200mm f/2G VRII announced

At last one of Nikon’s long-standing gaps in their lens lineup has been filled, with the announcement of the new 35mm f/1.4 AF-S. The previously available fast 35mm was manual-focus only, with the 35/2 being AF-D.

The new 35mm features AF-S, Nikon’s Nano coating for improved flare and ghosting resistance, and a 9-bladed rounded aperture.
