I have had the D300 for over a year now and it has been to S.America and Mexico. It has never missed a beat and has even managed a couple of decent shots. Main lens has been the 24-120 AF-S Vr and like the camera it continues to give good service. I have the extra battery pack installed and it goes everywhere except on vacations - due to size. Biggest print made: 2.5'X4'
with imperceptible pixelation. Only complaint is that after a day of shooting with a big lens it is a heavy beast.
